There are two anthologies in particular that I am thinking of, the first The Art of the Story is the one I spoke of on the other thread, it is edited by Daniel Halpern. The stories are wide ranging and interesting.

Also, however, another one comes to mind. Adaptations, edited by Stephanie Harrison. It contains "35 great stories that have inspired great films".
Some of us may have seen the films attached to these short stories. The sections of the book that discuss the translation from short story to film are fascinating.

What thinks thee? :D

Why don't we give both a go? Start with the top one 'The Art of The Story'? If I can get hold of a copy I'm in :)

Sounds good to me! After those that want it have a copy, we can nominate stories, pick, say 5 out of that and then discuss them in chronological order.

Sound ok?

If everyone else agrees, that's fine by me :)

Yay! I know some are available online. When the time comes, we can investigate.

Count me in. Actually I like the idea of the short stories discussion because I have my main books that I'm currently reading and this makes it easier to read the short stories along side my current books :)
