I cannot begin to explain the sheer joy I have when the house is quiet and I am finished my work and have my little time for tea before heading out on assignment or appt. to turn on the audios that I have of some of the Sherlock Holmes stories by Edward Riley. He is totally amazing , for he can change his voice to play any character , even women. I love the elegance and smoothness he gives to the women characters. He does both Holmes and Watson with such perfection that I am totally swept away and feel I am living every moment myself.
I particularly love the Red Headed League and Wisteria Lodge. Wonderful
I am currently looking to increase my set, for just half an hour totally refreshes me for the hours of work ahead. thumbs up, way up.

I'm a bit ambivalent about listening to books. On one hand I certainly appreciate the artistry involved. However, if I listen whilst doing housework or something of that nature, I lose track of what they are saying, I suppose I have to concentrate too deeply and can't 'walk and chew gum' at the same time. lol

I think if I had a long drive alone, or a daily commute of some sort I'd like it for that.
