McCormick and Williams. The two shared a past
relationship together.

There seems to be no end to groovy, retro Brady Bunch secrets. Now Maureen McCormick, who played Marcia Brady on the hit series, apparently has some never-been-told secrets of her own. She is indulging these secrets in her new book, Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice. The release of this book was shockingly unbeknownst to her former co-stars.

Amongst McCormick's juicy secrets, she spills about her romance with older step-brother on the show, Barry Williams, as well dates she went on with Michael Jackson and Steve Martin. On the flip side, she also paints a tormented picture of her life by describing periods of drug addiction and depression.

"I think it's amazing that I'm alive to be able to tell this story," she tells momlogic.

The book's release comes at an opportune time for the promotion of the Bradys' upcoming episodes of the game show Trivial Pursuit: America Plays. The show is hosted by Christopher Knight, who played Peter Brady. The gang reunites for five "Brady Week" episodes to air on the show between Nov. 10-14.

The book, which is available to purchase today, talks about some serious issues that were not easy for McCormick to reveal. "I talk about depression, mental illness, drug abuse ... it's really an honest book that I wrote from my heart," she says. "I've truly been through it all."

I never really watched 'The Brady Bunch' Liz, I was always too busy around the house, but I do remember what people were saying about it at the time.

Do I really want to go there? :D

The Brady Bunch was very popular when it first came out in 1969. I was nine at the time and I liked it. The show lasted until 1974, but it got worse every year. It still plays in re-runs, and it's really an awful, corny show. VERY corny.

Yeah, that's what I'd heard Liz. Still, sometimes corny is good! when you don't want anything hilariously funny and nothing too heavy it can always fit the bill.

Given how long ago it is now though, I'm a bit lost as to why these 'secrets' are coming out now?

Money. Cold, hard cash. She hasn't done a heck of a lot since the show ended. I'm sure she still craves the limelight.

Isn't it 'sad' when has-been's just cannot let go? :(
