You must do a review on it for us Durga, It will be nice to be able to judge if her other books are just as good as the one I'm reading right now. :)

Orlando by Virginia Woolf
I've only read two of hers before, and I am beginning to think this might be my favorite.

Madame Maigret's Own Case (ranslated from the French) by George Simenon -

I adore the psycholoical novels and Inspector Maigret mysteries by the Belgian author George Simenon. I'm particularly fond of the character of Madame Maigret, and this book has a rather fun twist with Madame Maigret having a mystery of her own to solve. I'm 1/3 of the way into the story and am enjoying it immensely!

I still have the two Maigret's I bought ages ago on your recommendation, unread as of yet, every time I start toward them, something topples off one of the other stacks on the way. I will get to them...soon! Of course "soon" is a relative term, yes? lol

Patricia Cornwell "Isle of Dogs"

i just love her books. This one is a bit different - more about the system and its mistakes (black humour) than about investigation but still great to read

Judith Lennox "All MySisters"
it's a book about four sisters - how they lives alter when the WWI starts and how their dreams have to change. I've only read 40 pages for now but it is so well written! And i guess it's one of those books that Jakki would love - i even regret i didn't wait lon enough to make it my choice for a book club!

Finally finished the final book of The Dark Tower after starting the series over a year ago and I must say what a magnificent ending, I don't understand why the last book got mixed reviews. It's one of my favourite endings of a book and I don't think he could have done it better. I won't explain what happens as it would totally spoil it for anyone who has not read it yet. I would definitely recommend this series. It's kind of a shame I have finished it now as I will miss Roland and his 'Ka tet'. I shall definitely be re-reading this in the future :)

I'm shall be reading this next................

When Eloise Cribb receives the news that her husband's ship has been lost at sea she wonders how she is ever going to manage. With two young children, the rent overdue and almost nothing to live on, she has no alternative but to turn to his estranged family for help. She sets off on the long and arduous journey to Yorkshire, but is met with hostility and soon realizes she has little choice but to return to London. Virtually destitute and desperate, Eloise is faced with her worst nightmare: she must either go to the workhouse, or abandon her children at the Foundling Hospital. But she is determined to keep them safe and under her protective wing at all costs...

I'm still in the middle of Harlot's Ghost, but have picked up The Ivy Tree by Mary Stewart, it's a reread for me as I read it when I was young and loved it. Well, any Mary Stewart is good, lets face it!
